2008 Studio Policy

Private lessons are scheduled for a set time each week, negotiated by the
parents, students and instructor.

Events:
Special events and Festivals Fees may be required during the course of
the year. Parents will be notified of these fees prior to the event.
Festival entry fees must be paid by the deadline given; students cannot be
registered for any festival without an entry fee. The registration fees
vary between $15.00 and $25.00 per event.

Schedule Conflicts:
The Studio’s policy is as follows: Make-ups will only be offered if
arrangements are made in advance. Make-ups will not be given for
lessons that are a “no show”. During bad weather days these are
considered “Acts of God” and will not be rescheduled.

Learning music is more than being able to perform a few songs, it is
necessary to learn the Musical Language. Learning to sight-read written
music, theory, history, ear training, technique and building a repertoire
for performance are all important to becoming a musician. In our studies
we will cover a variety of music from contemporary to classical, baroque
and romantic styles. Our goal is to make learning a fun experience.
